This is the blog of Derek Kovacevic, owner and creative director of Delirium Media.
Derek studied video at the University of Windsor, where he received a B.A. in Communication Studies. He then went on to the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, Michigan, where he graduated at the top of his class. While attending the Specs Howard school, Derek interned as a camera operator and editor for Palace Sports & Entertainment, and then as a production assistant at Fox Sports Net Detroit.
After completing the internships, Derek worked as a freelance editor for a while, but knew that something better had to be out there. He considered leaving Windsor for a larger market to find employment, however, after researching the local production companies, and even working with some of them, Derek decided he could compete on his own. Delirium Media was formed in March of 2005 and continues to grow every year.
Derek’s interests include movies, television, music, humour, technology, fitness, networking, and travel.
